Day 8

Today was excellent.

I’ve been nothing but impressed with this class. I’m sad to see it end. This is one of those classes in which I’d like to be continuously attending. I’ve learned more about computers in the last 2 weeks than I have in the last 30 years!

I’ve got to say that I love Google! I can’t believe the options that they are providing. I love the computer docs application. It’s so easy to use…which you can’t generally say about some applications. I really feel that Google is making computer use easier for the digital immigrants. I love it!!

I finished my paper…I finished my presentation…I’m excited!!

EDAD 660 Final Presentation

Day 7

The excel coverage was essential to my summer education. I still have a lot of work to do, but I feel much better my ability to use excel. I have every entention of buying an excel manual this summer. I’m extremely intersted in becoming an excel pro!!

I’m a bit stressed about my final presentation. I’m not sure my information will be as interesting as others, but it will be practical in my every day collaboration with colleagues next year. I was already required to create an action plan for next year…so i decided now would be the best time. I created an action plan based on my role as math/science coordinator and the responsibilities I’ll have next year in regards to Atlas Rubicon curriculum mapping. I hope it works!  Now I just need to figure out what i’ll be presenting!!!

I’m excited to present my windows movie maker presentation!!!!

Looking up to Kobe

Day 5

Great job by Lisa and Danka! I’m very impressed with their content knowledge. The applications that they presented were very cool…I’ll definitely be taking these ideas back to my classroom.

The RSS/Google Reader application is very impressive. I’ve set up a Google Reader account, and I’m definitely going to maintain it. I still need to work on my smart phone applications, but I hope to eventually download Google Reader for my phone.

Audacity is pretty cool. I’ve always wondered how musicians make music. I assume that this program is similar to what they use. I’m excited about purchasing a Mac Pro. I’d really like to get good at Garage Band.  I still need to add some outside audio to my audio, but I like what I’ve created so far.

Lebron to the Heat

I´m disappointed in Lebron´s decision to play for the Heat! Listen below for more information.

Day 4

Today was fantastic. It was very hands on. I really enjoy enjoy working on the computer…I find that the material I’m learning will easily be usable in the classroom.

The digital story applications are money. I can’t wait to use these in the classroom. I’m currently working on a digital story looks at the geographical points of Mallorca.

The final project will be great. I’ve emailed our tech guy about all our technology information. I haven’t received a reply, but I know our school is making a lot of progress in the technology category. We’re currently a 1-1 school in the LS, and we just adopted a computer math program that will absolutely benefit our lower school students.

I can’t believe how quickly technology is moving. I’m interested in technology, and I’m excited about the teaching capabilities that we’ll have in the very near future!

Day 3

I was able to find two sites that i think can be useful in my classroom right away. The active allowance site will really help my kids understand the meaning of responsibility and organization. I’m not completely sure how I’ll implement it yet, but I will definitely use it.

I really like the Google Maps application. I’m definitely going to use this in my classroom. I think it it will be a great way to teach distance. The kids will love creating their personal world.

I also really like the Google Docs application. I’m amazed at how many applications Google actually has. I watched a video the other day called 20/20. It was about technology in the next 20 years…and it actually portrayed Google as taking over the world. I guess we’re not too far away!!
